- Your comic and anything on your page is yours. I don't want it. I won't ever want it. I will never ask for any rights to it ever. GUARANTEED. If anyone claims to be from CD and asks for/insists on having any sort of rights, please let me know, as they are lying.
- You do not need to put ads on your site. You are encouraged to link back to Comic Dish, but in no way are you forced to. If you'd rather not mention us, then don't. We won't hold it against you. We're cool like that.
- You do not need to pay anything.
- You may not have photographic pornography on your site. Violators will be banned immediately, their comic deleted, and their ISP contacted at our discretion.
- Drawn pornographic material is fine as long as the comic is rated NC17 and it only appears on your page (i.e. it cannot be on any of the banners that CD uses, nor in your forum signatures). Violators will have their accounts locked and the offending material removed.
Pornographic does not equate to nudity, though. You may have tasteful nudity, as long as it's not shown in a sexual way, and your comic is rated at least 14AA.
- Photographic and drawn pornographic material is, to a very fine degree, allowed to be linked to in the forums as long as such links are labeled not safe for work. The fine degree is that this isn't to become a porn offering site, but artwork depicting nudes is acceptable given the NSFW warning, and that you must click a link to get to it.
- Copyrighted material may only be displayed on your site if you own the copyright to it, or have written permission from the creator to do so (fanart excluded, as it's assumed you have permission). So in other words, no sprite comics. Violators will have their comics deleted, and their comic making privilages revoked. (if it's a close call, we'll just lock the comic instead and talk to the author. If it's blatant megaman/sonic ripping, it gets deleted).
IN SHORT, NO SPRITE COMICS!
Images of copyrighted materials made by the comic artist will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. A comic featuring spiderman that is meant to be like Marvel's comics, for instance, is likely in violation. A comic featuring spiderman as a baby, however, may be left alone unless Marvel complains.
We reserve the right to change this at any time, and without warning. We guarantee we will do what we can to give plenty of warning if it happens that we have to change this, but sometimes time is too short to get the notice out.
